WHUST Statement on the Departure of Karren Brady

WHUST has always believed West Ham needed a full-time chief executive who is not distracted by other jobs and responsibilities. Baroness Brady had several important and time-consuming roles in TV, newspapers and at the House of Lords. Her priority was her own brand, not the claret and blue. She appeared to treat her role at West Ham as a second or even third job.

WHUST believes the qualities required in a CEO for our club include:

* A passion for West Ham

* A belief that the fan base is what makes this club and a desire to consult and liaise meaningfully with those fans

* Honesty and integrity when communicating with fans and fan groups including sticking to verbal and written agreements and abiding by voluntarily entered into and published terms of reference

Baroness Brady had none of these qualities.
